Remote Operation — Operator Safety First
A dedicated WFT09S II remote controller provides a clean signal up to 1,000 m in open conditions, keeping operators completely separated from pesticide spray at all times.
A remote-controlled, hybrid-powered ground sprayer engineered for precision pest and disease management in orchards — keeping operators safe while maximizing crop coverage.
What is the 3WFZ-300B, and who is it for?
The 3WFZ-300B "Plant Protection Tank" is a professional-grade, remote-controlled tracked ground spraying robot purpose-built for orchard plant protection operations. Combining a rugged low-profile crawler chassis with a hybrid petrol-electric powertrain, the machine navigates tight orchard rows, steep slopes, and uneven terrain that conventional sprayers cannot reach.
Unlike tractor-mounted or backpack sprayers, the 3WFZ-300B places full operator-machine separation at the heart of its design: the operator stands up to 1,000 metres away, entirely out of pesticide drift. An ultra-high-pressure pump paired with a powerful air-assist fan delivers fine 100 µm droplets deep into the crop canopy — including the underside of leaves where pest and disease pressure is highest — at a work rate of up to 20 acres per hour.
Eight reasons orchard growers choose the 3WFZ-300B
A dedicated WFT09S II remote controller provides a clean signal up to 1,000 m in open conditions, keeping operators completely separated from pesticide spray at all times.
Ultra-fine atomisation at 100–500 µm with a spray swath of 6–8 m ensures even deposition across the canopy, reducing water and chemical consumption by approximately 30% versus conventional methods.
The low-profile crawler platform (H: 635 mm) handles slopes up to 50° travel grade / 30° operating grade, pivots on the spot, and fits through standard orchard row spacings with ease.
Eight 4XR4501S nozzles with full angle adjustment adapt to different row widths and tree heights, guaranteeing whole-canopy coverage — top, sides, and leaf undersides — in a single pass.
A 9.5 kW petrol generator charges the drive system on the go, extending operational endurance far beyond what a pure battery machine can offer — critical for large orchards and remote plots.
Full-function control via a single handheld remote makes the learning curve minimal. The combination of wide spray swath and fast travel speed delivers a field work rate of up to 20 acres (≈ 80 mu) per hour.
The bottom-up spray trajectory drives droplets directly onto leaf undersides — the primary habitat for spider mites, scale insects, and fungal pathogens — dramatically improving pesticide efficacy.
Full night-working capability lets operators spray during cooler hours, reducing evaporation loss and chemical breakdown. Many orchard pests are also more active after dark, boosting treatment effectiveness.

Answers to the most common questions about the 3WFZ-300B spraying robot
The 3WFZ-300B is engineered for dense fruit tree orchards — including apple, pear, peach, citrus, cherry, and walnut — where row spacing is tight and canopy height varies. Its adjustable omnidirectional nozzles and crawler chassis make it equally effective in young, low-canopy orchards and mature high-canopy plantings. It can also be deployed in tea gardens, vineyards, and other high-value perennial crops.
At maximum fuel consumption of 3 L/h with a 6 L tank, the engine provides approximately 2 hours of continuous runtime per fill. In normal mixed-load conditions, runtime is typically longer. The 300 L spray tank can be refilled in the field independently of the fuel, so operations can continue with minimal downtime.
Yes. The tracked undercarriage supports a maximum travel slope of 50° and a safe spraying operating slope of 30°. This covers the majority of hillside orchard terrain. For slopes steeper than 30°, we recommend contacting your local dealer to assess site-specific safety requirements.
The machine body is 1,140 mm (approx. 114 cm) wide. It requires a minimum clear passageway of approximately 130–140 cm to manoeuvre safely. Most standard orchard inter-row spacings of 1.5 m or greater are compatible. The machine can also pivot on the spot with a minimum turning radius of 0.86 m, making it easy to reverse or turn at row ends.
Many of the most damaging orchard pests — including spider mites, aphids, scale insects, and certain fungal pathogens — preferentially colonise the underside of leaves, which is sheltered from conventional top-down sprayers. The 3WFZ-300B's bottom-up spray trajectory drives fine droplets directly into this zone, achieving significantly higher active-ingredient contact with pest populations and thereby improving efficacy per litre applied.
The machine is fully equipped for night operations. Night spraying offers two key agronomic advantages: cooler temperatures reduce pesticide evaporation and photodegradation, and many nocturnal pest species (moths, certain beetles) are more active and therefore more exposed to treatment. From a safety standpoint, the 1,000 m remote control range ensures the operator remains well clear of any spray drift, day or night.
The standard configuration includes 8 × 4XR4501S flat-fan nozzles (single-side kit). Alternative nozzle types are available as optional upgrades to suit different droplet size requirements, crop types, or pesticide formulations. Please consult your regional dealer for compatible nozzle options and mounting configurations.
Drones are effective for large-area field crops but have limitations in orchards: canopy penetration is poor because the rotor downwash pushes droplets onto the top surface of leaves rather than the undersides; tank capacity is small (typically 10–40 L); and regulations restrict drone use in many areas. The 3WFZ-300B addresses all three issues — its 300 L tank, ground-based upward spray, and air-assist fan achieve deeper canopy penetration and higher per-pass efficiency, making it the preferred choice for intensive orchard pest management.
Routine maintenance includes: engine oil changes per the generator manufacturer's schedule (typically every 50–100 operating hours), air filter cleaning, spray system flushing after each use to prevent nozzle clogging, and crawler track tension checks. The petrol engine uses standard 92-octane (regular unleaded) gasoline, available at any fuel station. A full maintenance checklist is provided in the operator manual.
